Hey there! Thanks for stopping by Rustik Market - I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Whitney. I’m the founder of Rustik Market - the home décor store that gives women a reason to shop at the hardware.

This dream we’ve turned into reality started when I was a little girl. I remember going shopping with my Mom to purchase items to help turn our house into a home. Mom had an eye for décor, and by watching her I was able to learn and appreciate what home décor can do for a house.

After my husband and I were married, I knew I wanted to open my own shop. I was inspired by the work and creativity of Joanna Gaines. Discovering the Farmhouse style of interior design helped motivate me to open my own original store. Unfortunately at the time there wasn't a storefront available in my hometown, so I expanded my search to the surrounding areas. I soon found a place in Ontario, Ohio, and opened! After a short while in Ontario I began making plans to move the shop to the community our family lives in and loves, Bellville, Ohio.

My in-laws have owned and operated the TrueValue Hardware store in Bellville for over 40 years. When they started talking about building a new addition, we thought it would be a perfect location for Rustik Market. We love serving our community with the hardware store but now we can also serve our community through home décor. When I see faces light up at the sight of our displays, it makes all of the hard work worth it. I love being able to spark the imagination and wonder of customers about what they can create in their homes.

Bellville is a special place - it’s the town my husband and I grew up in and it’s the town our girls are growing up in. This community has served us in so many ways over the years and it’s an honor to return the favor and give back to this community.
